The XF 35mm f/2 R WR feels solid with a good sturdy well-operating aperture ring and weighs a mere 6 oz. If you think this focal length is boring, that should motivate you all the more to use it and prove the statement wrong. I just wanted to finally say thank you for your insight and beautiful examples of the Medium of picture making. A very nice review; I have found that Fuji X photographers seem to be able to convey an enthusiasm and you-can-do positivity about the brand that is not found on other camera brand reviews. Unless you pixel peep there is little to complain about and it delivers the same level of performance as we see in other Fujifilm f/2 lenses such as the XF 23mm f/2 R WR and XF 50mm f/2 R WR.

The marked aperture ring allows you to get the most out of the Fujifilm user experience, and it’s small enough that you won’t release it’s attached to your camera and hanging around your neck. Although I haven’t noticed much of a difference between the Super and the HT-EBC lens coating found on some of the other lenses. The 9 blade rounded aperture makes a really smooth and creamy bokeh, but the blades are only rounded when wide open and it seems the foreground bokeh still has a little shape when wide open. The outer barrel on the XF 35mm is made of metal and the lens mount is made of metal, while the XC lens is all plastic. It has a dedicated aperture ring so that you can change your settings without looking at any screen. If you press your eye right up to the viewfinder, you can barley see the lens just at the corner, but it's nowhere near the frame lines.

The reason i ask is because i use 27mm with X-T10 and the lens is so noisy and the noise of the lens is capture in video .

If you have the budget for an even better lens in this focal length range I suggest you also check out the Fujifilm XF 33mm f/1.

It also illustrates how far Fujifilm’s come in lens design since the launch of the X-series and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a higher-end 35mm option in the future to properly replace the XF 35mm f1. The superior performance from the new lens across much of the frame comes as no surprise if you examine the MTF charts for each, and see the XF 35mm f2 simply has a better profile for resolution. I’m not going to talk a whole lot about the technical aspects of the Fujinon XF 35mm f/2 R WR lens, as that information is already plentiful on the internet.About two months into our quest to visit 50 countries in 50 months I added the XF 35mm f/2 R WR to my camera bag. Are these the jpgs out of the camera or did you process them after to get such bright colors and and such contrast in the black and white pics? Finally, I love this lens so much because I can shoot almost anything with it, bar the type of photography that requires a telephoto lens. I have been reading your reviews since I entered the land of fujifilm magic, and fell in love with photography again. Here is a detailed look at the difference between the new Fujifilm XC 35mm f2 (nifty-fifty) and the higher-end XF 35mm f2.
